History of NYC
Historically, New York thrived from its location at the mouth of the Hudson River, where is developed a bust port with associated industries.
It also became the first port of call for many migrants from Central Europe. By the beginning of the 20th century, the city had begun to build a successful financial industry.
Although it suffered through the Great Depression of the 1930s it was on its way to become a global financial leader.
Modern Day NYC
New York is home to some massive global companies and organizations and boasts the headquarters of the United Nations.
Accountants are drawn to the city for its vibrant social life as well as its established and growing accounting industry.
